Legacy Case to British Citizenship - "Apply Within a Year"

In this thread about Legacy Case to British Citizenship member ashyyyyy shares her success in applying for British Citizenship after 1 year on ILR via the Legacy Case route.

The thread contain tips and advice from the original poster including which documents she supplied with her application. The discussion thread also contains feedback from other experienced members of the community as well as members who are going through the same process.

The original poster -who claims she did not use a consultant in the procees- writes:

Quote

I just received a letter from the Home Office that my application for british citizenship has been successful.

I got an acknowlegdement letter within a week of applying and my application got approved within 2 weeks from the date they acknowlegded my application.

I am so over the moon. I did not use a solicitor and I never quoted anything from the rules.

I only included my IS96 (temporary admission form) covering 3 year period since I am married to a BC (British Citizen).

I advise all granted under legacy to apply within a year and you will all be granted.

I am still in this limbo of legacy and I remember how hard you fought for your ILR, anyway I wanted to ask, you said within a year? not after a year?
