Overstayer

hi

i am a zimbawean living in the uk for 10 years now. i have lived three and half years lawfully and rest unlawfully. i have worked on some occasions. i have two kids who are both under 4
years of age and we live together with fiancee who is of british origin (same as kids). my fiancee also claims benefits whilst i am working just so we can make ends meet and provide for family, problem is, we are concerned whether by making an application for ILR or whatever category i may fall under, would the authorities be able to see that i have been working? i do not want to take family back to zimbabwe under the current climate, noone in their right mind would. even though zimbabwe is not at war, the political landscape is in a total mess. i am
sure fellow zimbabweans do agree. how do i go about regularising my stay here in the uk? i cannot ever imagine having to leave my family behind and risk not evr seeing them again. when i first entered the uk i was given six months leave followed by three one year leave to remain. i entered college but things got complicated when funding stopped because my father had gone blind and made redundant.i had to leave college and could not renew passport. any useful info will be greatly appreciated brothers and sisters.

Ilr Grant!

Dear members,

First, I would like to thank everyone for the continuous support and encouragement you provided us. Without this support and invaluable information, we would have been languishing in complete darkness! I am also deeply indebted to Thandia who helped me a lot on a number of occasions.

I contacted my solicitor yesterday and she informed me that I had already been granted ILR last week and docs are on their way. I am so ecstatic to say the least. Jesus, the Son of God, has answered my prayers! I will keep on praying for all of you.

To help others, let me just give a brief account of my story.

Arrived in UK in 2001. Appeals exhausted in 2003. Been on support since sep. 2009. Photo requested by CASE PREPARATION TEAM on 12 DEC 2009. GRANT last week!

I wish everyone best of luck!

Granted Ilr At Last

Thank God for me, the nightmare is over, the mental torture is over, the chains are gone, freedom at last for me and my children.

case was with CRTm2, they never sent a questionnaire and I never phoned them because I was so scared after 3 times in detention.

Photographs were requested through solicitor on 22nd January, caseworker informed solicitor that positive decision has been made on 15 Feb but documents will take a couple of weeks, then on 4th March, solicitor received documents. I was just too happy to laugh at first - or maybe I have simply forgotten how to laugh, I cried and cried. its still so surreal.

Thanks to all of you on this forum for all the information you share.
I pray for all that are still waiting that very soon, you will all get your ILR. Please dont give up, hang on there and God will make a way for you.
