hey guys,
I thought it might be a good idea if we start the timeline for passport applications in here,
it will be easier to read, and separate it from NATURALISATION timeline.
I believe it will be a great help to people who are applying for the first passport.
I hope this will work.

Date of appln. for passport:
Method used to send passport: (Postal or Check and Send)
Date of Receipt of Documents:
Date of passport interview:
Date of Receipt of Passport:

nice idea, I'm supporting this.
can we also include Turnaround time from submission to delivery:
Might be easier 4 people to know how long it could take.

Ok I will give my passport timeline.

Date of appln. for passport: 03/06/09
Method used to send passport: Check and Send
Date of Receipt of Documents: 11/06/09
Date of passport interview:16/06/09
Date of Receipt of Passport: 19/06/09

Although my citizenship approval was at the beginning of April but I had two holidays lined up in May and June. So I had to carefully pick the ceremony date to match with them. Also I wanted to use my Country of Birth passport for those holidays. The passport interview was really easy, I felt like they just wanted to match the picture and the real person!

Good luck everyone applying for the passport.

This is the the answer of Rojjer's message to me. I am posting here the reply instead of message him back is to let other people know the answers.

many thanks for your support with the new passport application topic,
i just think it will be easier for people who are applying for passport, rather going through the naturlisation timeline to find those information.

may i ask, what supporting documents you have enclosed with the application?
did you also send grandparents' details?
also which passport did you send them? apart from the uncancelled passport, did you also send the first passport you have entered the country in? or it is the same passport?

look forward to hearing from you soon.
Roj

1. Supporting documents: Passport and Naturalisation certificate.
2. No grand parents details required
3. I had only one passport for last 10 years so I sent only that.

Thanks

Thanks Trevor. The docs are actually back - sighs of relief after what happened to you - the interview was ok and can't see anything really that will hold up the passport - unless it's the mail
all the best
