Hi There

I have a question around YMS. I am looking to apply for an Italian Working Holiday visa and work in Italy for 6 months prior to starting to work in the UK on a YMS visa. Will there be any problem having the two working visas for the same period?

For example:
Get Italian working visa and use it for 6 months
Get UK YMS after Italian visa has been granted but lose 6 months off visa as am in Italy and then commence UK YMS visa for 18 months.

I guess what I'm getting at is would I not be granted a UK YMS visa because I already had an Italian visa for the same period?

Thanks in advance

I can't see why this would be a problem. But you may want to see if you can hey the YMS from the British consulate in Italy.

Hi Victoria,

I was planning on getting the UK visa while in Australia, and getting the Italian visa also in Australia. Thought that would save hassles in Italy, given I am only planning on staying there three months - so would loose minimal time on my UK visa.

Thanks for your help. Would it also be worth speaking to someone at the UK embassy about my query?
