The only response you get from the UKBA through the MP is simply: we can't give an exact time frame when the applicant's case will be completed.  We can not deal with the case out of turn without the applicant meeting compelling and exceptional circumstances.  In my own case, I was receiving counselling from a psychologist.  The psychologist wrote a supporting letter stating that she had been seeing me for counselling and that I suffer from anxiety and depression.  The UKBA's response was that THESE MEDICAL CONDITIONS ARE NOT EXCEPTIONAL ENOUGH!

(I am currently awaiting a reconsideration request for (FLR)O article 8 for just over a year)

So, if medical conditions such as Psychological conditions are not compelling enough, what would they say about my son who has now been diagnosed with some form of Epilepsy? He is on medication for the next two years and he is only 9 months old, almost 10. He does jerking movements with his entire body and hands sticking out, hes eyes rolling but comes round again appearing normal, sometimes it goes on on and off throughout the day sometimes not but you can guarantee he will have a couple episodes. What i dont understand is even with all this information, obstacles we are encountering. The UKBA wont take notice at all??? i have not even bothered sending another letter to the MP as the last one i send was never answered to. Perhaps its because he had done so on our behalf in the past and was told our circumstances were not compelling enough despite my partner having panick attacks so severe we were calling the ambulance 1-2 times a week, having been instructed to do so via the nhs helpline.

I am just wondering, with all these problems we are facing.... are they really not compassionate enough? does my partner, along with her panick attacks and a son diagnosed with Epileptic convulsions, be expected to find a job that earns over 18 k and sponsor a spouse who will most likely get refused entry clearence anyway???

i am really sorry to hear that i hope your matter will get solved soon by god willing.reading your story i wonder if this called UKBA have normal human beings working there or just machines
