My husband is a British National, and I am an American Citizen. We were married in February, when I came to the UK on a Fiance Visa. We submitted our application in March, and we've already paid for the Visa and I've handed my biometrics in months ago. It is now almost a month passed six months.

I have not had ANY emails or letters sent to the house whatsoever, aside from the letter stating that we had paid for the Visa.

I visited the website, to see if we can call for an inquiry, but no number for such things? I've called multiple numbers, and have only received a recording. I've noticed on the site that other people have filed for their Visas months later than I have, and have already gotten theirs back.

Should I be worried? I don't have any criminal offences, and we've done everything as legal and straight-forward as possible.

Did you apply via the New York hub? If so, that's very strange as they are normally very efficient.

There is an email address for them if you do a google search (don't have it to hand). Also they respond to their Facebook page.

No, I'm currently still in the UK, waiting to hear back from the North East Yorkshire and the Humber UKBA Office in Sheffield . We applied in the UK, because I was here on the Fiance Visa.

Though my Fiance Visa was issued two weeks after applying from the New York Hub. (I gave them a stellar review for being so amazing efficient). AND they emailed me and kept me updated constantly. I've not had any form of contact, other than the payment and the biometrics which was on March 23rd of this year.

I have noted that to be the exact 24 weeks, minus the weekends and the holidays, technically it would be the beginning of November I would have word. However, that makes it 8 actual months. Not to mention, people who've applied in July have already gotten theirs back (according to the Visa tracker on this website).

Ah. It's because they are rubbish. I've a few clients in the same position.

I just hope everything's okay, and that it either didn't get completely lost in the mail with all of those personal documents, or that they've declined it for some reason!
