Hi there,
My story is that I met a man on yahoo six months ago. He is actually from Pakistan. The time passed and now we both fell and are in serious LOVE. Though, we never met in person yet.
Now I am looking forward to make him my life partner. I asked him to apply for UK fiance visa from Pakistan but he said, he can not as its on the requirement page of UKBIA(spouse visa), that u both must have met in person. So my question is that " Is it really not possible for him to apply form Pakistan on the basis that we never met in person"???
And my second Q is that financial requirement is (18600₤) for a fiance.Does he need to have minimum such amount in his account if he wants to come back.?????
btw, I am British citizen and is earning 20k per annum.
Any help, advice is highly appreciable.

Thanks

x

You absolutely must have met in person, and the Financial requirement is about your income.

To answer your second question you will need a minimum of 18,600 as his sponsor. Or a combination of salary and savings.

Further clarification:

18,600 is the minimum income threshold. The savings threshold can be as much as 62,500 if there is absolutely no income.

Thanks for your reply. I am so much sad after hearing that u both should have met in person as its not the case for Mr. A . But I m still not disappointed as someone told me, if I visit him in Pakistan which is easy for me, then the condition will be fulfilled.
Secondly, its not clear to me, if minimum req is 18600, then y should I need to show 62,500??
Thanks again all lovely helpers.

Since your salary is 21k, this satisfies the requirement of 18600, so you will not need to also show savings. You will need to visit him to meet him in person. Once you have done that and can meet all other requirements, he can move forward with his visa application.
