Hello all,

I understand that one must earn  £18,600 pounds  , but as i have started my own company i decided to   not take a salary for a few months , is it possible  to  have acompany  dividend  of £ 20,000 pounds  before i decide  to apply for the visa for my Fiance.  I am a british citzen.   For me this demonstrates   that i have  been paid  20,000 but albeit all at once . I trust this isnt a problem as all the government wants is to guarantee that  spouses wont claim benefits i believe.

Thanks for your help

You need legal advice, not a gov email.
