If your wife is British, the UKBA should use common sense to know that automatically your children are British whether the children have passports or not. Your question was so minor and I think Victoria should have simply answered it rather than saying this is the sort of question an advisor would know.

But there is no right or wrong answer, without knowing the details of the case!

And you should know by now that the UKBA never use common sense.
