Can I Travel With My Id Card And Is That Going To Affect My Eea4 Application Anyhow?

I would appreciate your advice on this topic.

I’m Bulgarian citizen and I have been living and working in the UK for 8 years.

I send my EEA4 application 3 months ago.

Next week I have to travel urgently to Bulgaria. I have my ID card. Can I travel with my ID card and is that going to affect my EEA4 application anyhow?
