Naturalisation Application Without Spouse's British Passport

Hi members,

I am due to apply for naturalisation but my husband needs to travel, do I have to send his passport or can I send an authenticated copy by a solictor or notary public. Also do I need copies of the entire passport or are there specific pages which I will need to copy if this is at all possible?
