My wife has a Spouse Visa and will shortly be applying for Indefinite Leave to remain. Her question is that when she has ILR are there limits to the amount of time she can return to her family in her own country. She is thinking of 6 months.

A continuous period of two years outside the UK would, depending on a variety of circumstances, put her ILR status at risk.
