Hello everyone, i've spent hours on this forum and found some very useful information, thanks to everyone.
I need advice on a certain little problem.
I'm disabled and claiming DLA(middle rate), i also claim Income Support & Incapacity benefit, In March i'll be marrying my Ukrainian partner of 2 years, we've met on 10 occasions, in Berlin, Oslo, Kiev and she's been to UK twice this year on a visitor visa,( we have lots of photgraphic & flight details for proof of our relationship) we will marry in Ukraine, we will then be submitting the application for my new wife to come to UK as my carer.
I live in a council house and claim housing benefit & council tax benefit.
The new rules from July say that anyone claiming DLA are exempt from the financial commitment but must be able to accommodate and adequately maintain my spouse.
Does our application have a chance of success on the evidence from above?
Any info or direction would be really appreciated. Thanks

Yes it does, providing you meet the lower support rates.

Around £130 per week left over, after rent and council tax is paid.

It may be a good idea to get professional assistance as some of your benefits are ring fenced. I'd be happy to assist if you'd like to email me.
