Hello all,

Me and my wife are planing to apply for a naturalization. But we need help regarding whether we can submit a joint application.

I am a EEA citizen with PR obtained in March 2012. My wife is on 5 years EEA family member permit. living in the UK from September 2009.
I am going to apply for UK citizenship, but will it mean that my wife looses her EEA family member status once I became British?

What options do we have?

Is it possible to request my citizenship to be considered first, then my wife would become a spouse of UK national and she would have 3 years qualifying period so she would qualify also.

Thank you in advance!

Your wife won't qualify as she has not achieved PR yet. I'd suggest a joint application in 2014.
