Hi,

I was wondering if someone could shed some light please.

My sister has finished her degree in the UK and wants to pursue her Masters at the same University. She needs to apply for a new visa as her old one will experie soon.

A university staff has advised her that she needs to return to her country of origin to reapply for a visa as there is more than a 28 day gap till the next course starts.

Cant she stay in the country and apply for a new visa?

Thank you in advance.

If she can get a short course to cover for the summer, perhaps, but how would she show 'academic progress' to get the visa for the short course?
