Hi, I was initially employed by an agency and sent to work for a specifc company (company x), a few months later and company x I was working for offerred me a 6 month contract so I left the agency to work for this company.
Although it was the exact same job I was doing and in theory I was was working for the same organisation my first three month payslips have the agency name on it as it was them paying me and my last three months payslips has my company x name on it as I moved onto their specific contract.
Will this count as being with the same employer for six months?
If not will I still be able to apply for a spouse visa for my wife at the 6 month mark?
Thanks for any help

It won't.

Hi Victoria, thanks for your reply. I was with the agency from May 2012 to start of September 2012. I have been with company X from start of September to current time. What would be your advice on when to apply?
Looking at the somewhat confusing regulations it seems to say if you have been with same employer for less than 6 months then they will take your annual salary at date of application- not entirely sure what this means. Does this mean projected or does this mean they will look at the total salary for your last year of working? Thanks.

The rule states that they look at earnings over the previous 12 months if you've been at your current job for less than 6.
