Hi Everyone,

Currently I'm a Canadian living in working in the UK on a Youth Mobility visa which I got in May 2012 - so it expired May 2014. I got this visa because a) it was cheaper and wasnt sure if I would like living here or not.

Now that I've been here for 6 months and absolutely love the country, I would like to apply for my ancestral visa.

If I go back to Canada in the new year, for a few weeks and apply then, am I able to get it? Or do I have wait out my full 2 yrs and leave and then apply?

I would hate to lose my job and place at the end of the 2 yrs if that were the case.

My employers are willing to allow me to work remotely from Canada while applying for the visa if I can get it.

You can apply from Canada whenever you like.
