I was a student in Uk until June 2012 and returned to my country. I submitted all my papers without my passport which was at the Dvla and besides i could not get my CAS number on time to apply for my student visa. After 3 months,i got all my papers back and was told to reapply again from the Home Office. To my great amazement, they returned me the cheque of £386. I spoke with one of the solicitors from this forum that i overstayed and was given some choices.

           I continued to stay from November to June 2012,which was pretty long. Nobody checked me when i left London via Heathrow airport. Maybe because i was fingerprinted and left voluntarily. I just wanted to know if Uk share fingerprints with other countries like Canada Australia, USA,New zealand. I have to go to Canada before the 1 year banned given to me to enter Uk,if Ukba was not messed up that time.

              I need your help on this matter. Why was i not checked when i was leaving? Can i enter Canada before the 1 year? Thanks

Thanks mate...I dont even know if i am illegal or not at that time in the Uk. I didnt leave with the taxpayer's money,nobody stopped me. They never came to check on me at home. They could have got my address easily. In my passport,there was no ''barring stamp''..Well i know they have got my fingerprints but at that time,Home office system was totally messed up and they didnt know who left and who didnot. I was shocked when i received all my documents,saying i need to make a fresh application as i didnt provide the main document which was the passport itself. And luckily they send me a check of £386.....

What happens if an illegal person is leaving the country,without being arrested at the airport? Is he/she being questioned,passport being inked,Red Marks etc?Assume they already have your fingerprints and you are leaving with your own money..Thanks
