All the opinions on that site agree that there is no such rule!

Thanks Vicky. The only thing i am worry about now is if Virgin Atlantic has a blanket policy regarding passport validity. Will update the post if i get the answer.

Baloo Most of the visitors were American or Canadian or EEA

and ur DAD is Indian .............

Rules are different for Western countries Ctzen and different for 3rd World country CTZENs.................

Spoke to PinceVisa and they said they cannot help with this as they only deal with visas for UK nationals.

This is what the visa office replied in email.....

With regards to your query, please be informed that we don’t have passport validity criteria at the time of submission you may apply for a UK visa as long as your passport is valid but do remember immigration rules will apply at the time of your travel. We advise that you also check with your airline regarding passport validity.

I am still waiting for a written confirmation from the airline in India.
