Hi all,l married my long term girlfriend in South Africa last year and soon after the Ukba changed  the eligibility rules to bring over your spouse stating that somebody should earn just over 18k a year.l am a full time Uni student getting student finance and working part time,my part time earnings are half the amount required to meet the eligibility criteria. What are my options of bringing my wife over?Should l just apply for a fiance visa or it's lose lose because of my earnings?ls it worth it risking losing over a thousand pounds if they decline?Victoria please advise me accordingly.

This is in the wrong part of the forum and is not about family reunion. You need to look at the threads in the spouse visa section.

A fiancé visa application would be refused without substantial savings.
