I am posting here with the hope that someone will be able to advise me. I got my indefinite leave to remain in 2011 and already has my British nationalisation approved (Ceremony is however not yet done).
I however travelled to my country on holiday but lost my passport which has the ILR on it whilst on holiday. I have tried contacting UKBA about this but they keep refering me back to their high commission in my country which have been very unhelpful.
Does anyone know what I need to do to get back my ILR/get back into the UK to my normal life as this all seem like a bad nightmare at the moment.
Lost Ilr

Oh dear.
I am afraid that you will need to make a fresh application at the British consulate for a new ILR visa. Fill out the forms for 'returning resident'. You will of course have to pay the full whack for the new application.
The alternative is to try to arrange for the oath and ceremony to be taken in your home country (again, at the Embassy) and then apply for your British passport or a ROA stamp before returning.

Thanks Victoria for your advice. Is it possible to have the oath taking ceremony done outside the UK? if yes do you have an idea what the procedure is?

You need to contact the Embassy.
