Hello All

I have a situation and hope you could help me with some answers.

My Current Visa – Tier-1 General until 06-07-2015 (1st EXTENSION – 3 YRS Validity).

I'm a Tier-1 General holder – granted on 06-07-2012 and with an expiry date of 06-07-2015. This is my first extension. My initial Tier-1 visa was granted on 10-04-2010 till 10-04-2012.

Since I was predominantly away from the UK from Apr 2010 until Dec 2011 (for overseas employment – Yes I shouldn't have applied for it then  ), I'm assuming I need to apply for another extension as I cannot go direct to the ILR Visa (haven’t accumulated 5 yrs. of continuous stay in the UK since 2010). I have been in the UK since Dec 2011 continuously. So the following are my queries

1)      Am I right in assuming I need another extension before I apply for ILR? – As Dec 2011 to July 2015 only makes it 3 and half years.

2)      If so, what is the earliest date I can apply for my extension – I'm planning to apply by Jan 2015, is this possible? – As this Tier -1 General Visa extension won’t be available from 06-04-2015? So I can’t wait till July 2015. Is there a date constraint on my application – like I can only apply 3 months or 6 months before etc.?

3)      I hope my next extension would be for TWO years? Or will it be for THREE years again?

4)      If I extend by Jan 2015 – will I be eligible for ILR in Jan 2017? Or can I apply earlier?

Please can someone help me regarding the above queries? Thanks in advance. Thanks for your continuous support over the years. Much appreciated.
