Hi every,
Thought it would be easier to start a new topic than following Pumpkin's. Need everyone's advice again. A little more than 5 months now since my EEA4 application. As some of you may know that I am working for one of the company that recenly on the news very often obviously in this recession
, therefore the job security is really bad. Golden oppotunity dropped on my head this morning when my manager put my name down for a project in Hong Kong for 6 months.
Problem!
Told my boss that my EEA4 is still pending, no passport, can't travel. Boss replied in heavy voice that it was me showed him that I would be able to travel my Apr (yes, it was written on my CoA, which I showed to him said my application would be processed by mid Apr- of course we all know the truth with UKBA, but you don't want your boss worries, do u?),if I missed this one, I may .............
I really have to give the management an answer whether I will go or not. and to be honest, I really not have much choice left as I am the only one can speak all languages they requested also with the right expertise for this project. And it would be perfect if the UKBA is compliace with 6 months rules (only I wish).
Stressed! Called UKBA, told by them that they can't tell any application that less than 6 months, call back mid Apr. Told them I couldn't becasue I am due to depart by then. Plus my CoA would be expired as well.
Advice! Been give 2 advice by 2 different operator on the phone. 1st one ask my to fax them a priority request, explain the situation and finger crossed someone may give me a little sympathy to process my application within 6 months (no that I appreciate they do so, but is it requested by EU directive that what they should have done at the first place?). - Problem with this advice is no guarantee is going to work. Advice 2, a very nice lady on the phone advice me to request return of my passport and also ask renew of my CoA. Applying a family member permit once I'm in Hong Kong while my EEA4 would be still pending. - catch of advice 2 is too much trouble, too short time. I'm due to leave by 15th Apr (3 days after the 6 months period), which means I only have 4 weeks left, to request the renew of CoA and passport return and as soon as I arrive in HongKong, I would have to apply my Family permit immediately as I need to return to UK Once a month, plus, if I need to apply a family permit from HongKong, I would need support from my EEA husband - at least his most recent pay slip. For those of you know that the relationship between my and him is just on the edge and I don't really want to confront him for help.
Humm.... been writing a lot so far. Hopefully I made myself more understandable. anyone give some advice to me? what can I do now?
Thanks first!!
